Rihanna Signs With Sony/ATV Music Publishing (Variety)
Rihanna has signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, a rep for the company confirmed to Variety, a move that reunites the singer with her longtime publisher, Jon Platt, who took the reins at the Sony Music company as chairman and CEO earlier this year.
One Media makes biggest deal so far with Philip Wesley catalogue acquisition (Music Week)
The music rights owner has secured a deal for the entire music catalogue to date of American composer and solo piano artist Philip Wesley. The catalogue comprises 72 solo piano recordings, of which One Media has acquired both the publishing and master rights.
La Company Inks Deal With Warner Chappell Latin (Billboard)
La Company, formed by DJ Maff, Gotex and Migueman, are the masterminds behind Madonna’s song “Bitch I’m Loca” featuring Maluma, and Kevin Roldan’s “PPP.” They’ve also had a hand in Latin hits such as J Balvin’s “Tranquila,” Karol G’s “Amor de Dos” featuring Nicky Jam, and more.
Sony/ATV Signs Sam Hollander To Worldwide Publishing Deal (MBW)
The songwriter has had chart success with artists including the likes of Panic! At The Disco, Fitz and The Tantrums, One Direction, Katy Perry, Train, Blink-182, Weezer, Gym Class Heroes, Carole King, Daughtry and Metro Station.
Jake Owen Signs Publishing Deal With Warner Chappell Music Nashville (Billboard)
Jake Owen has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group. The country singer, signed to Big Loud, released his latest album Greetings from… Jake earlier this year.

BMG Production Music has promoted senior management executives Scott Doran and Paul Gulmans. Doran succeeds John Clifford in running BMGPM’s UK business as he is appointed Managing Director BMGPM UK. Gulmans moves into a new combined role, Managing Director Benelux & VP Int’l Business Development.
Tim Wipperman Named President At Anthem Music Publishing, Nashville (Music Row)
Tim Wipperman has been appointed President of Anthem Music Publishing, Nashville and will report to CEO Helen Murphy. The move brings Wipperman’s Rezonant Music Publishing, which was founded in 2016, under the Anthem umbrella.
