Role Overview
Synchtank is looking for a detail-obsessed Media Asset Manager to lead and manage digital asset ingestion across our suite of clients—especially broadcasters, production music libraires, and other content owners. You’ll be responsible for ensuring media libraries (audio, metadata, artwork, etc.) are properly ingested, organized, and maintained within our platform.
This is a hands-on role working closely with clients, onboarding specialists, and product teams to ensure every piece of content is accounted for, correctly formatted, and future ready.
Responsibilities
- Manage the ingestion of music and media assets into client Synchtank platforms
- Map and normalize metadata to meet Synchtank schema standards
- Collaborate with onboarding teams to define ingestion requirements and timelines
- Monitor and QA data imports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Maintain documentation and workflows for ingestion and content management
- Work with technical teams to troubleshoot ingestion issues or anomalies
- Act as a subject matter expert on best practices for library organization and metadata
Requirements
- 3+ years working in music digital asset management or media library operations
- Strong understanding of metadata structures (DDEX, CWR etc.)
- Experience with ingestion workflows, CMS/DAM platforms, and batch processing tools
- Knowledge of music industry catalogs, licensing, and rights management
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work across global teams and clients in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise with Excel/CSV manipulation, scripting tools, or basic SQL
Nice to Have
- Experience in music publishing, broadcast, or sync licensing
- Background in music tagging, taxonomy design, or content classification
